Bailey's Birthday!

November 27th, 2007 is the day our first Westie was born!  The weekend after Thanksgiving Steve and I traveled to meet a potential Breeder and her Westies---Macy, Cooper and McKenzie.  Macy and Cooper were about to become proud new parents!  Macy was due on Tuesday with what the Breeder thought to be about 4-6 puppies. After a charming visit with Macy and Cooper, we decided we wanted one of their pups, so we placed our deposit on a female.  Tuesday the 27th rolled around and I got a phone call around 5pm on my way home from work from the Breeder and Macy had her pups!  The thing is, there were only 2 and they both were males....so i told her I'd talk it over with Steve and discuss if we wanted to change our mind and get a male, refund our deposit, or wait till she does another breeding next Spring.  As we were sitting around watching tv and researching more breeders later on that night, we got a phone call from our Breeder and Macy had just had another pup, a Female!!  12 hours after her two brothers...already a little diva, she wanted the spotlight on just her :) 

So to catch up to where we are currently, the Breeder has already registered the litter with the AKC, they have had their first vet check and while all 3 puppies are growing  more and more everyday, they still can't see or hear...that happens around day 14 which is this tuesday.  We have giving our puppy a name which the Breeder already uses for her.  Her full AKC registered name will be Sweet Bailey's Irish Dream and we will call her "Bailey."  Our Sweet Bailey comes from Irish bloodlines and when you think of Bailey's you think of Irish Cream, well our twist on that is she is more like a Dream come true for Steve and I!  We go the weekend after Christmas the meet her for the first time and we will bring her to her forever home in January!
